Toledo Zoo Lights... Finally

For my loyal readers, you may remember this Post from last year when we attempted to go to the Toledo Zoo lights, got there, and turned right around to go home cause of the weather!

Well, this year we went again, and actually made it in this time! It was fun!

Here are some pictures from the night! Probably more than you want to see!

Maddie and her buddy Hanna. Hanna didn't want Maddie touching her, and Maddie knew it, so what did she do...? Kept touching her!

My niece getting eaten by a Polar Bear. AHHH! :)

The Girls dancing to the light show music! It was really cool!

Maddie and Haley, isn't it just the cutest pic ever!

Believe it or not, Cameron is in that stroller. He is in the back part, under the light blue blanket. He was the warmest out of all of us!

Kids having (too much) fun in the restaurant afterwards. Haley, Maddie, and Drew

Maddie and Haley showing some love!

Weekend Update

Last night we had a fun sleep over at my friends house.

Our kids get along very well. It was fun. The kids played dress-up. It was a first for Maddie, and I could tell she thought it was pretty cool.

We watched Kung-Fu Panda, and the kids went to bed about 9. Then Mindy and I watched Baby Mama. It was pretty good.

Well, I have no more to say tonight....I went to bed at 2 last night and the night before that Cam was up from 1-4.

Old Friends, New Friends

There was a poem once that said something like New Friends are silver old friends Gold. Or maybe that was the other way around. Anyhow, you get the jist, and I think that is so true.

Today, I got together with my very old childhood friend Monica. It was so nice. I mean, you would think since we have not seen each other in many years that it would be akward, or pressured. But it was nothing like that. It was just same old Monica. It just felt normal, right to be hanging out with her. I mean, who else knows so much about the real you. For me, no one other than my Sister and then my BFF- but we have only known each other for 16 years. It is not the same as your childhood friend ya know.

She had a beautiful daughter who I will not mention her name, as Monica and her hubby are leary about the online stuff. But for those of you who know me well, it was the name I originally wanted to use for Maddie.

Anyhow, we took the kiddos to the mall and let them play in the playscape. They had a blast. It was Maddie's first time someplace like that. On the way from lunch to the playscape, the girls were riding side by side in their strollers and they were HOLDING HANDS! It was the cutest thing ever. They didn't let go the entire way to the playscape! So cute! It is pretty funny to me. Her daughter looked just like she did as a kid, so it is kinda like little mini us playing together.

I promise you one thing. My Mom is smiling in Heaven knowing we got together, that our babies got along so well, and just at how cute and sweet her daughter was, and how much she looked just like Monica!

Craziness

That describes this past week. In normal times it wouldn't be so crazy I guess. But in pregnant with a 1 year old, it is crazy!

I don't even know where to begin, but I guess I will just say that I am glad the week and weekend are over! And with that, I am going to focus on the positive aspects of the weekend.

HAPPY 1st Birthday to Maddie's Buddy CJ. Isn't this the cutest pic?

Saturday was my cousin's Baby Shower as well as CJs birthday party. They both started at 1:00 and they were about 35 minutes away from each other. But it worked out.. I got to go to the shower and see most of everything, AND make it to CJs party a couple hours late but STILL see him open gifts and eat cake. So that was good!

Sunday was my family reunion and that is an all day thing, and I am usually very helpful in set-up and tear down. However this year, I sat on my bum a lot. :) If only I don't feel so guilty about that. I wish I could just enjoy being a bum and the fact that I have a good reason for it, but I don't.

I took a lot of pics, but it doesn't really seem like a lot, cause they are all of the same events. I didn't get a nice wide range of pictures to really detail the day.

Maddie with her second cousin Mary.

The twins of our Family. Cody and Zack, 10 and Brianna and Jesslyn, 3

All in all it was a great day. The weather was gorgeous! DJ and I got home about 8:30, put Maddie down and we both went to bed. lol. I slept in today until I got my Maddie wake-up-call at 8:30.

This week

I haven't been feeling very well this week. I feel like the symptoms of the first and third trimester were flip flopped for me or something. I have been extremely exhausted and very very nauseated... all day. So basically I have been sleeping every time Maddie does and even when she is up I was laying around barely able to do much. She has been a doll all this week, and it was kinda nice to just sit and watch her play instead of going going going. She would come up to the couch and lift herself up and say Mommmmaaaa. in this cute sing songy voice. Like she knew I wasn't feeling well.

I think I am finally starting to feel better. I actually ate fine all day yesterday, I was still a bit nauseated and tired, but at least I could eat, and do things.

We are going out to good friends of ours today. I am actually doing a show there for my home based business (which shall remain nameless on the internet). But we are going out early and staying afterwards to have fun and hang with their kids. Should be a fun time. I am looking forward to it.

I hope all of my readers have a great weekend!

Maddie meets her Boyfriend, and professional photos

Wednesday night we brought dinner to our friends Janette and David who are brand new parents. This was the first time Maddie met her future boyfriend CJ. (ok, so they will end up more like Brother and Sister, so I have to stop the Boyfriend thing). But it is cute for a while. About a half hour after we got there Maddie puked all over the couch. Ahh. THANK god they are parents now- it barely phased them. It was all over me too. All down my back and even got my pants. We wanted to lay Maddie and CJ next to each other. The difference in size is hilarious. CJ is 7 lbs, Maddie was more than that when she was born!! Maddie was a bit cranky though, and the only pictures we got are of the babies and mommys. I guess it will all come in due time!

Yesterday Maddie got professional pictures taken by my wedding photographer Bryan Mitchell (www.bryanmitchell.com). I saw a couple quick glances from his digital camera and they looked SOOO cute. I can't wait till after he puts his creative touch on them for the final picture. I can only imagine how great they will be.
