So, I am trying to figure out if my daughter is a genius... I mean, I know she is brilliant, but genuis- not sure yet. :)
Are any of your other June babies doing this??? I took out our CD from our TV stand. (she was pulling them all out, breaking and scattering them all over the house) and I put some of her books and toys there. Well, she will pull all the books out and put them all over the floor. Then throughout the day she will bring over the same book... out of probably 10-15 different books. I assume she has a favorite. Funny is that she used to always bring 2 books, Goodnight Moon and There's a Wocket in my Pocket. It was obvious she would prefer Goodnight Moon though. Anyhow, recently she only has been bringing over "There's a Wocket in my Pocket". Then yesterday I noticed that Goodnight Moon was no where to be found! It must have either gotten put back in her room, or is deep under one of the couches.
Anyhow, my (serious) question is: IS this typical almost 1 year old behavior, or does my daughter have a love for books and reading like her Mom? I mean, I know all babies/kids love to be read to. But what where those babies/toddlers like who did not bring this love for reading into their childhood/adulthood, etc? Were they not as interested in books, or at least not being the one to ask to be read too when they were little... or did they do the sames things Maddie does now?
She brings books over often. And she is adamant to sit in your lap and look at the pictures while you read. I can read it to her about 5 times before her attention span is lost? What do you guys think?? What is your baby doing??

Of course she is a genuis! That is very smart. James will bring books over too. He does bring the same book over quite often, but I am not sure if he likes it or he chooses it because it has big hard plastic wheels attached to it! LOL!
She is a genius compared to Ethan in the book department. He won't sit still for 1 minute with a book. I read daily and hope that he will enjoy it as well, but he won't even look at the pictures. And no, he doesn't grab the same "favorite" toy of any kind yet.
She's got to have a love of books! I know CJ is younger but he never brings books over to be reaad. If I start reading one he'll come sit with me but he doesn'tbring them for me to start...
Ethan loves, loves, loves when I read to him (I only do board books anymore because we have had book fatalities otherwise:) It is the only time that he will sit in my lap quietly and cuddle. He turns the pages and touches the pictures. However, he will whine until I read him Brown Bear, Brown Bear... I swear if I have to read that book one more time....
