Each morning after Maddie's first bottle she sits up and I put her over my shoulder. I pat her on the back and try to look her in the eyes, and kiss her and love on her, but she will have nothing to do with me, she is just all about looking at the dog. So I just sit there and stare at her and think how gorgeous and sweet and wonderful she is.
Maddie doesn't have time to give me smiles or allow me to smoother her with kisses. No, she is absolutely head over heels in love with this dog who she just thinks is the best thing since sliced bread. Momma is old news. However, the dog, will not give her the time or day or look at her once.
The dog is staring lovingly and hopefully at me. Won't take his eyes off watching me watch Maddie. He is hoping for just one glance. Will this be the minute I get up and let him outside? Could be, so he is not gonna chance looking once at Maddie.
And there we have The Circle of Love.

Awww. That is so sweet. It sounds like my mornings. Ethan thinks I am a piece of furniture and he wants the kitty. The kitty wants a cookie from me. But I bet my kitties don't love me like a dog would. I want a dog!
