Happy Half-Birthday To You!

can you believe that my daughter is 6 months old? That is half way to a year (I am sure you can all do the math, but it still amazes me when I do it.!) It has been the best 6 months of my life...well minus the hospital and labor time, but all of that was worth the outcome! :)

I can't believe how much Maddie has grown. I swear, she is a little person with big personality. She gives me certain looks and frowns, and noises when certain things aren't going her way. She has half smiles to satisfy me, so I will stop bugging her. She grabs my face and hair, puts her face on mine and makes this sweet sound as if saying she loves me! She adores her family, and shows it in her face when she sees those who are around her often. She loves to eat. Whether it is her bottle, or her sweet potatoes, squash, or bananas. She is quickly learning the drop and pick-up game and how that works. She can make the sign for bottle, and I noticed she is starting to do it whenever she wants something-not just a botttle. I found her ticklish spots, and oh boy does she squirm and laugh when you hit one. She is moving around when she really wants something. Not crawling, but she rolls and squirms her way to get where she wants to go- whether it is just to get her favorite toy, or to touch Maxim's paw. She sneezes in 3s. She has learned that if she holds her pacifier when sneezing, it won't fall out. She says "Hi" So far once to me, once to her fish, and a few times to Maxim, who by the way she loves, and don't tell anyone, but he gets the most, and easiest smile out of any family member.

She is Miss Independent, and i already love that about her (although forsee it becoming a problem in the near future!) She explores the world with a sense of vigor, and that just amazes me. I think if I don't screw this kid up she has tons of potential!
